Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi and all members of the Jakarta legislature for the 2019-2024 period for their synergy in advancing the City of Jakarta.

He conveyed this when attending a gathering with all members of the Jakarta DPRD who will retire at the end of August, at The Tavia Heritage Ballroom, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday evening (8/20).

"Thank you to Mr. Prasetyo for leading the council that has overseen our government since 2022. In the past two years, I would like to thank all members of the DPRD for making history with various ideas for building Jakarta. Of course, there is satisfaction for the Jakarta Provincial Government in synergy with members of the Jakarta DPRD in realizing the best service for all residents. This feels very extraordinary," he expressed, accompanied by City Secretary, Joko Agus Setyono.

During his tenure, he assessed, coordination with the Jakarta DPRD was able to run smoothly and various discussions discussing policies for the good of Jakarta residents were also very intense.

"I see that our spirit is all to advance Jakarta. On behalf of the Jakarta Government, all officials are grateful that during the past two years coordination has been running well for our Jakarta," he explained, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release.

Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi thanked all members of the legislature for his five years in office. Council members could synergize well in overseeing every program of the Jakarta Government during the 2019-2024 period.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), during five years, my colleagues and I have run our duties in a restrained and controlled manner. On behalf of the DPRD leadership, I express my highest gratitude to these legislative members," he explained.

They had run the people's mandate, faced various challenges in realizing development programs that were considered strategic and following the spirit of democracy, and still referred to the functions of the institution.

"To Mr. Acting Governor and Mr. City Secretary and the staff, they deserve appreciation for their performance during this transition period. We also feel that there is good communication between the executive and legislative. The Regional Government and the DPRD can continue to work together to handle various events and problems in Jakarta," he uttered.
